What's in ZenPlugs Earplugs?

ZenPlugs earplugs are made using a revolutionary new technique safely and easily, in a matter of minutes. Moulding the plug to fit the unique shape of the user’s ear canal, the ZenPlugs technique allows anyone to make bespoke earplugs.

The thermoplastic used for ZenPlugs is tough, scratch and stain resistant, non-toxic and even biodegradable. It is so safe it is used to make implants for use inside the body.

Because of its low melting temperature, the thermoplastic can be softened easily in hot water and moulded in the ear to form a fitted earplug. With no pressure effect on the skin of the ear (as there is with foam and rubber inserts which work by creating a pressure seal), the VariFone moulding makes the finished earplugs more comfortable and less likely to fall out than existing models.

The thermoplastic is available in a range of colours and incorporates Steritouch®, a non-toxic compound proven to kill MRSA, Salmonella, E. coli and other disease-causing bacteria which may cause ear infections.
